How can you give back? Glad you asked!
Sertoma Off-Street Basketball will be collecting non-perishable food to donate to the local Food Bank in Frederick.
What is a non-perishable food?
Some examples of non-perishable foods include peanut butter, crackers, canned fruits,
canned vegetables, dried fruits and powdered milk. Canned meats, such as tuna, salmon, turkey and chicken,
are non-perishable foods that are excellent sources of protein. Canned soup and chili adds variety to an emergency food supply.
Sertoma Off-Street Basketball will also be collecting personal hygiene items.
These items will be donated to the organization "Every Now and Then." This is an organization in Frederick who provides needs to the Homeless.
What is considered personal hygiene items?
Other examples are socks (men and women), power towels, shampoo, conditioner, and deodorant.
How can you help?
There will be a box at North Frederick Elementary School on Saturdays and Sundays
(when there are games). Drop the items in the box.

New this 2016-2017 Season:
Pee Wee Division will be full court with 1/2 court press. This change allows for the participant to develop their game of basketball as more and more organizations allow for playing full court. This will not change the fact that the Pee Wee Division is an instructional division.
Sertoma Off-Street Basketball League, of Frederick, is a non-profit volunteer-based organization dedicated to providing the youth of our community a quality basketball program. Sertoma will keep the welfare of its participants free of any adult ambition or personal glory and will promote the ideals of youth sports regardless of race, religion, gender or national origin. Our objective as administrators and coaches is to provide our youth the opportunity to experience basketball in a positive and safe environment. We strive to teach each participant the fundamentals of basketball as well as sportsmanship, teamwork, self-discipline, physical fitness, friendship, leadership, love of the game, good citizenship, and scholastic achievement.
